Walking

A slower route through the city

There is always another way to get somewhere. A quieter street, a path beside the water, a turn that adds ten minutes and changes the whole walk.

These are notes about taking that extra turn and paying attention to what is already there.

Photography

Looking for the light

The most useful thing to bring on a walk is time. Wait a little longer at a familiar corner and the shadows move, the windows change, and an ordinary scene becomes something worth remembering.
